Description

The future of work: a topic of critical importance (and great interest!) to every business leader and every organisation. What does that future hold for you?

Join fellow alumni and guests to hear Lynda Gratton, Professor of Management Practice at LBS, discuss her latest thinking on the future of work, transitions and the need for social pioneers. Many of you will be familiar with Lynda’s research and writing on the future of work, particularly ‘The 100-Year Life: Living and Working in an Age of Longevity’, co-authored with Andrew Scott (Professor of Economics, LBS). Don’t miss this insightful exploration of the implications of a 100-year life for individuals, organisations and society.

“The transition that we are all going through, every single one of us, is greater than the industrial revolution ... firstly, obviously huge technological changes mean that every single one of us will have to either upskill; do what we do differently, better; or reskill, find something completely different to do; and secondly, in living much longer, the three stages of education, work, and retirement will be replaced by a multistage life, with more transitions. We are in the midst of an extraordinary shift: all of us have to make transitions and organisations have to do that as well.” (Lynda in a PwC podcast ‘The transition to the future of work’)
